A local Hyatt recently began the long-awaited phase two of its major renovation. The $3 million project includes renovating the hotel’s lobby, lounge, restaurant and conference room. The hotel, built in 1988, was hailed as an important investment in the downtown business community. Among the hotel’s special features are 28,000 square feet of meeting space as well as a 15th-floor View Room with a spectacular 360 degree view of the city. Phase one was completed four years ago and included the remodeling of the Sacramento hotel’s 503 guestrooms. Besides for the typical wall and floor treatments, Sacramento, California remodeling pros built special guest pods in the lobby instead of a standard check-in counter. The new design allows the hotel staff to walk around and greet guests while they check in, creating a more personal and friendly experience.
