In an effort to help the nation’s soldiers, the Army Wounded Warrior Program in Albuquerque recently teamed up with Lowe’s home improvement centers, and began helping soldiers in need of home repairs and renovations. One such veteran who was chosen to receive aid is an Albuquerque resident who retired from the army in May 2011. When he returned home, he found his inherited house was in shambles. So the Wounded Warriors program got together volunteers and Albuquerque remodeling contractors and they began to repair the soldier’s home. As word of mouth spread, dozens and dozens of locals came to pitch as well. The remodeling of the Albuquerque home included renovated bathrooms, a renovated kitchen and new electrical wiring.
